Cardamom–Pom Sour

Ingredients

  • 2–3 Cardamom pods, cracked
  • 2 tbsp Hot water
  • 2 tbsp Pomegranate concentrate
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Ice

Directions

  1. Crack cardamom pods gently with the side of a knife.
  2. Steep cracked pods in 2 tbsp hot water for 2–3 minutes to make an infusion.
  3. Strain infusion into shaker; add pomegranate, lemon juice, maple, and salt.
  4. Add ice and shake 12–15 seconds to aerate and chill.
  5. Strain into chilled coupe or rocks glass.
  6. Optional: express lemon peel over top; adjust maple to taste for a rounder finish.
